As former restaurateurs, we know that excellent food is an important part of your stay.
We are proud holders of an AA Best Breakfast Award in recognition of our “very special breakfast… with an emphasis on freshly prepared local ingredients.”
The source of our ingredients is important to us: we use locally produced meats, eggs and fish, and our bread is baked in-house.
We are able to cater for special diets by prior arrangement.

Traditional English breakfast, with a choice of:

…Local Butcher’s pork sausage

Local butcher’s succulent ham with eggs
Mushrooms on toast with English bacon
Scottish smoked kipper: whole or fillets
Buttery Kedgeree: smoked fish, rice, eggs and spices
Creamy scrambled eggs with Scottish smoked salmon
Cornish smoked haddock fillet, topped with a poached egg
All dishes are served with our own white or wholemeal bread/toast.
And if you still have room:
A selection of locally made preserves and honey — perfect with a slice of freshly made toast!
Tea: English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Assam, Darjeeling, Lapsang Souchong, fruit and herbal teas.
Coffee: Arabica or decaffeinated filter coffee.
Our teas, coffees and hot chocolate are all fairly traded products.
If you are unable to find an item you enjoy, do ask us, and we will do our best to oblige.
